How to style streetwear for women: building outfits that turn heads

Women's streetwear has one problem: most of it was designed for men and resized down.

The proportions are wrong. The graphics are smaller. The cuts assume you want to look fitted when the point of streetwear is that you do not need to look fitted. The best streetwear outfits for women come from working around these defaults, not accepting them.

The anchor piece

Pick one piece and build from it. Everything else is secondary.

For most streetwear outfits, the anchor is the graphic. A hoodie with a chest print, a tee with something worth seeing. The anchor piece does not need support from complicated styling. It needs a base and a bottom that do not compete with it.
